Released in 2019 by Delos, the Dover Quartet, Miro Quartet, and Jasper Quartet joined forces with clarinetist David Shifrin to record the album, Spring Forward. Containing works by three very different composers, Peter Schickele, Richard Danielpour, and Aaron Jay Kernis, the album displays works that embody a breezeless Spring and Summer, a displaced Iranian Jew, and a complex sonic world that is neither completely dissonant nor absolutely tonal.
